Details: Request for Change of Research Type/Proprietary Use Agreement (Form F01-PC/F01-CC)
Deadline: before submitting SPring-8 Experiment Summary Report
You may request to switch the research type of your approved general proposal, non-proprietary priority proposal, or contract beamline proposal from non-proprietary to proprietary in an 8-hour shift within 60 days after the completion of the experiment or the end of the fiscal year (the end of March), whichever comes first.
How to submit
Complete and sign a Request for Change of Research Type/Proprietary Use Agreement and send it to User Administration Division, JASRI.
Upon receipt of the original form, the change of the research type will be accepted and an invoice for the proprietary beamtime fee will be sent out.
Once the change is complete, you will be exempt from the requirement to publish your results.
Note that this only applies to general or non-proprietary priority proposals and does not apply to other proposals expected to be non-proprietary research proposals.
