Temporary Call for 2026A Proposals for BL12B2 and BL12XU
The Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute (JASRI) announces the call for proposals for public use in 2026A for BL12B2 and BL12XU, both contracted Beamlines of Taiwan NSRRC. Interested parties are encouraged to apply. Please see below for details.
Important
As these are contract beamlines, proposal information and personal information will be shared with NSRRC (Taiwan). Please note that users who do not agree to this condition will not be allowed to use these beamlines.

3.Research Period and Number of Available Shifts
Approximately 27 shifts for each Beamline in July 2026 (tentative)
4.Submission Deadline
Wednesday, April 22, 2026, 10:00 am (Japan time)
5.Application Conditions
- You agree to share your research proposal application information and personal information with Taiwan NSRRC.
- In the case of non-proprietary use, you agree to clearly state in any published papers or other deliverables that the results were obtained through the use of the Taiwan NSRRC Beamline at the SPring-8 specifying the relevant experiment title and number. The official English name and address of NSRRC Taiwan shall be stated as “National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center, Taiwan” and “Hsinchu 300092, Taiwan,” respectively.
- In the case of proprietary use, you agree to the specific conditions separately determined by Taiwan NSRRC (such as entering into a joint research agreement).
6.Application Method
Submit your proposal application online from the User Information website (UI site).

Attention:
To apply for this temporary call, you must select “2026A-add” as the Term when creating an online application.
