Shipping/Delivery

If you are unable to receive packages that are to be delivered to you, you may send them care of the User Administration Division ( Users Office ). In this case, write your name and the name of the beamline to be used on the mailing label as follows.

Notes (applicable to both domestic and overseas deliveries)

• JASRI is not liable for any delivery problems. Users are responsible for all costs associated with delivery.
• Packages can only be delivered care of the Users Office (the 2nd floor of the Main Building) during office hours (weekdays, 9:00-17:00). If you wish to have your items delivered and picked up after hours or on holidays, please contact the SPring-8/SACLA Users Office.
• You can pick up the items even on weekend and night time at the User Administration Division ( the Users Office).
• A cart is available to transport the items from the User Users Office to the experimental station.
• JASRI is not liable for any loss or damage to packages. Note that the Users Offie has no special preservation equipment (e.g., cool storage).
• On the mailing label, provide the receiver’s cell phone number where the receiver can be reached at all times.
• Do not send expensive, bulky, or heavy items, or confidential documents to the Users Office. Such packages must be sent to and received by receivers directly with prior coordinate with courier.
• For return shipment:
  Please note that users are required to arrange their shipment by themselves (e.g., preparing the shipping label/the Air Waybill and invoice, and contacting a shipping company) except in case you ship items domestically using Yamato Transport from shipping counter in the User Administration Division(the Users Office) on the 2nd floor of the Main Building.

How to ship items domestically from SPring-8 using Yamato transport

• Packages can be shipped by cash on delivery from the Users Office on the 2nd floor of the main building. Cash on delivery slips are available. Please attach the completed slip to your package and place it in the designated location. Please be sure to take the “sender’s copy” with you.
• You can ship by prepayment or cash on delivery from Family Mart( Kirari Shop ) in SPring-8. Please ask the shop staff for details.
