Research Proposals Conducted over Multiple Terms
For research proposals that are assumed to be conducted over multiple terms, the deadline for the publication of results is three years after the end of the research term during which the last of a set of relevant experiments is carried out. The following are the research proposals that are assumed to be conducted over multiple terms.
- Long-term Proposal
- Long Term Graduate Student Proposals
- Proposal in the field of Life Science/Macromolecular Crystallography for which the beamtime is consequently allocated to two terms (so-called PX-BL proposal)
- General Proposal and Graduate Student Proposal for which two terms of beamtime is allocated (one-year proposal)
- Non-Proprietary Priority Proposal for which two terms of beamtime is allocated (one-year proposal)
Example: Long-term Proposal conducted during six consecutive terms 2018A–2020B (three years in total)
Relevant experiment 1 | 2018Axxxx
Relevant experiment 2 | 2018Bxxxx
Relevant experiment 3 | 2019Axxxx
Relevant experiment 4 | 2019Bxxxx
Relevant experiment 5 | 2020Axxxx
Relevant experiment 6 | 2020Bxxxx | →The deadline is three years after the end of this research term, i.e., 31 March 2024. |
Note that a SPring-8 Experiment Summary Report must be submitted for each proposal number.
