Details: Proprietary Measurement Service Proposals
The staff of Industrial Application and Partnership Division of Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute (JASRI) will perform measurements on behalf of users. Therefore, users can choose whether to come to SPring-8 and be present during the measurements or to simply send their samples to the SPring-8. Minimum available shift is 0.25 shift (2 hours).
This service is intended to provide convenience for companies and research institutions that find it difficult to sustain specialized staff and to accommodate the need for quick use. Measurement service proposals are considered a form of proprietary time-designated proposal.
The following five measurement methods are available:
Powder X-ray diffraction (BL19B2)
Macromolecular crystallography and small-angle scattering (SAXS) (BL19B2)
Hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) (BL46XU)
Type of fee
Beamtime fee + 50% premium
Program fee for non-proprietary grant-aided proposal
Fee for consumable supplies (fixed)
A variable fee will be calculated and added in accordance with the amount of liquid helium actually used.
