What Is a Contract Beamline?

Contract beamlines are constructed by industrial, academic, or governmental organizations in Japan and abroad and are used almost exclusively by the contractors for their own research.
As of October 2023, 15 contract beamlines are operational.

The procedures to use a contract beamline vary depending on whether you are a project leader or a project team member. Also, while some documents must be submitted to JASRI User Administration Division, some other documents must be submitted to each Contract Beamline Office.
