Sample Format for Installation Plan

1. Name of beamline (Japanese and English)
   If the name has changed from the one mentioned in the letter of intent, please write the old name within parentheses.
2. Name of organization and name of the representative (affiliation, contact address, phone, fax, and e-mail)
   The representative will be responsible for the agreement with the Facility concerning the contract beamline plan after approval is given; write the name of the representative who has the right to represent the organization. For the point of contact, write the name of the person in charge of the design and installation of the beamline and liaison with JASRI.

   Items “3. Research summary” to “8. Experimental station” should be based on the original plan outlined in the letter of intent, reflecting the results of consultations with JASRI and the budget planning.
9. Devices and equipment in experiment preparation room/sample preparation room
   An experiment preparation room and a sample preparation room (approx. 40 m² each) are provided for most contract beamlines (excepting some beamlines). Write the devices and equipment that you plan to keep in these preparation rooms.
10. Installation group members
    Name, affiliation, age, assigned task, and experience if any. Be sure to write the member who will be responsible for the setup and adjustment of the beamline at SPring-8.
11. Technical advice that you expect from the Facility regarding the design and installation
    Reflect JASRI’s comments to the letter of intent and the results of consultations with the Facility.
12. Design/installation schedule
    List the main monthly or quarterly events.
13. Estimated installation budget and prospects for obtaining the necessary budget
    Indicate that you can implement the budget promptly when the plan is approved.
14. Safety management plan and system
    Provide your ideas regarding safety management, manpower planning, budget planning, and requests to the Facility.
15. Management and maintenance plan and system
    Provide your ideas regarding management and maintenance, manpower planning, budget planning, and requests to the Facility.
16. Use plan and system
    List the specific research proposals or plans for the beamline after its completion, together with the manpower planning, budget planning, and requests to the Facility. If you plan to use RI samples (sealed/unsealed), reactive gases, or chemicals that require careful handling, write the names and quantities of the samples and safety measures.
17. Comments and suggestions
    Tell us your requests as well as the necessity of installing the beamline at SPring-8.
